Smithereen Farm hosts workshops in collaboration with our sister organization, Greenhorns.
- Greenhorns offers free and low-cost events for the benefit of the local and regional community. If you enjoy a free event, consider making a tax deductible donation to Greenhorns to support our programming
- Many events require advance registration; please follow the registration link within the workshop description.
- Coming for an event and want to stay a while? You can book a tent platform via HipCamp.
- Refund Policy: Due to our rural location and small event sizes workshop registrations are not refundable.

All are welcome to our fourth annual Pennamaquan Alewife Festival. This is a free, family-friendly event open to the public.

SMOKING AND EATING OF FISH: Terran works the DSF smoker, free lunch buffet provided by Smithereen Farm at noon

PRESENTATION: 11am, in the Grey Lodge parlor, slideshow and talk by nurseryman, educator, and permaculture specialist Aaron Parker of Edgewood Nursery in Falmouth. Brought to you by the Eat Downeast! Campaign

BIKE LIKE A FISH: tune ups by Mike Stuart of Mike’s Bikes in Eastport, and a group ride up the river in the afternoon

FOR KIDS: Kids activities with Sophie Foster

EXPLORE: Walk the (flat, family-friendly) Alewife Trail beside the river, an interpretive path with signage by local artist. Take a dip in the river!
